Hollington Friendship Group
The Hollington Friendship Club meets every other Thursday in the Village Hall between 1.30 pm and 3.30 pm, over tea and biscuits. For more information contact the Co-ordinator, Ann Kollar, on 01889 507446. Currently the Group is about 15 strong but is always looking for new members. Although the Group is informal and inter-generational, one of its outputs has been a booklet entitled "The War Years in Hollington", which has been edited by Vera Ivers. The booklet, which has even produced interest from the Imperial War Museum, is priced £2.50 and can be obtained via Ann Kollar. The booklet is based on reminiscence work carried out by the Group. Their next project is to look at changes in Holllington Village, particularly in farming, in the post war years of the 50s, 60s & 70s. If you feel you can contribute, or simply want to join the Group, then why not give Ann a call to find out more.
